Cat Urinating on a Laptop

FIRE crews are investigating whether a cat urinating on a laptop sparked a fire that has destroyed most of a home in a Gold Coast gated community.
Police said two teen boys, aged 16 and 18, were home alone for the weekend when the fire broke out about 9am yesterday morning in the Royal Pines Golf Resort at Benowa.
An emergency services spokeswoman said the blaze began in the corner of one of two bedrooms at the back of the two-storey rented house.

Undressed Plane Passenger

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A US Airways flight to Los Angeles was diverted to Albuquerque after a passenger removed all of his clothing mid-flight, forcing flight attendants to cover him with a blanket before he was arrested. Keith Wright, 50, of the Bronx in New York, was taken into custody by airport authorities after he allegedly disrobed while sitting in his seat in the back of Flight 705 on Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Money Stolen by a Dog

A woman was accused of dipping into her ex-husband’s bank account without his permission. She blames her dog. Kristin Banfield, the police spokeswoman said that the detectives filed court orders to follow the money trail. They found out that the money dissapearing from the 42-year-old Arlington man’s account was being used to pay for utility bills and other items at his ex-wife’s home.Banfield told The Herald that the woman’s first response was, “Her dog got into her purse and ate all her personal checks.” The 50-year-old woman reportedly told police …
